【学习日记】原版英文小说-福尔摩斯
原版英文小说。。《血字的研究》。。这本书120页，很薄，分两部分，第一章是侦探推理，第二章是讲述一个爱情故事。第一部分相对来说比较难，里面涉及的人物较多，情节复杂，看得我头痛。还好撑到第二章，看了一个西欧风格的爱情故事，爱恨情仇，词汇与句法都简单，特别适合拿来做英语泛读。
推荐第二章，这一章可以单独拿来做泛读练习。原汁原味的英语呀，而且20元钱就可以买到原版的《a study in scarlet》
阅读笔记：比较喜欢的表达方式：
１.wash your hands off the matter.....这本书有几个错别字。这里的off打成了of。
２.when it comes to beating the subjects in.....当谈论到讨论到...问题时...
３.blood staint 血渍
４.lower limb 前肢
５.when all is said and done 该做的都做了,该说的都说了, 引申一下就是毕竟
6. hail a cab .现在是不是应该变成hail a taxi。招过来一辆出租出车。
7. lay one's hands on 伤害 攻击 对……动武 .在书里用法是：“could you lay your hands upon those pills?”意为，你能不能搞到那些药片？
8. suit the action to the word.言行一致。。这个句子在书中出现过几次，意为：“为说边做，说完马上就付诸行动”
９. throw out hints. 这与drop hints差不多，都是透露点，给点暗示的意思。
10. lost in thought 陷入沉思
11 there will be no more merders, you can put that consideration out of the question ...
这个句子是我喜欢的：
12 The hand of God is leading us . You must come before him 。在圣经里常看到这个句子“you must come before him”
13. as year succeeded to year。这个表达方式不常见。可能都是太书面化的表达吧，文绉绉的。
14. change is too subtle and too gradual to be measured by dates.这个句子很美，也易于理解。
15. as busy as the bees.
16. either by accident or design.这个句子好吧。当你想表达一个行为既是出于有意思，又有一半非意图的因素。
17. her head begin to swim.表示头脑开始发错，无法思考。。记得有个类似的表达swim in the sea
18. seal one's mouth on the subject
19. blanched skeletons可能表达白骨的意思吧
20. steel one's heart to do....好句子，铁了心要做....She is blind,but has steeled her heart to go to high school
21. the rustling trees and the broad silent stretch of grainland.
22. I was to bring a certain sum a week to the owner , and whatever was over that I might keep for myself.我每个星期交固定一笔钱给出租车公司，其他多挣的钱就是我自己的。
继<a study in scalet>,这本长篇小说<sing of four>也看完了...这两本加一起共230，这两个故事与短篇小说相比，英语程度相对较难，故事趣味性相对较低。。不多作推荐。
相反，福尔摩斯的短篇小说集《the adventure of sherlock holmes》文字难度要低一些，故事长度较短，一般一个故事一般不会超过40页，一般在20-30页左右。故事兴味性很高，一些莫名其妙的事情，主要以对话形式的叙事为主，逻辑推理部分较少，因为看起来，像流水一样，想一口气看下去，遇到不会的单词也不想查，猜猜就过去了，不会影响阅读速度。只有故事开头与结尾的时候会有些推理，这个时候阅读难度较高，也只有忍了。
英语版看起来就是不一样呀。如果是中文版，看起来都没啥兴趣。中文版的书，我已经要看哲学性的，思想深的那种，一般的书，激不起我的兴趣。而英文版的书，哪怕是《哈利波特》看起来也别有一番风味。
加油。坚持下去吧。我已经有了我的梦想，发展方向。一定要学好英语呀。。。
